Modules to combine
Distribute offices, lunchroom, change rooms and toilets across one or more modules. Request a layout plan showing the capacity of each room.
Offices · Change rooms · Lunchrooms · Toilets
Plan jobsite facilities around your workforce and daily tasks. Arrange toilets, proper washing, drinking water and rest facilities before the team starts. Add changing, drying and showers where the work requires them, then get the complete installation and servicing quoted.

Jobsite facilities bring together the spaces used by teams to change, eat, wash and, depending on the project, work in an office. Start with the uses and the number of people present at the same time.
Fixed site
Distribute offices, lunchroom, change rooms and toilets across one or more modules. Request a layout plan showing the capacity of each room.
Mobile team
For a towable mobile unit or a building moved by truck, specify movement frequency and available services. Check the transport method and what is self-contained: toilets, water storage, electricity or heating.
Existing installation
Add an office, change rooms or toilets to the available facilities. Describe what already exists to avoid duplicating equipment.
In the quote, ask for furniture, heating, ventilation, hot water and kitchen equipment to be itemized. The term 'equipped module' alone does not tell you the exact contents.
No verified Canadian jobsite facility rental or purchase price sample is published here. Ask for the configuration and services your site actually needs; a dry shipping-container price is not a jobsite facility price.
Specify the exact units, usable facilities, fittings and capacity for the proposed workforce and working hours.
Include delivery, offloading, supports, assembly, water and drainage arrangements, electricity and commissioning before work starts.
Price cleaning, consumables, tank emptying and water replenishment, maintenance, emergency replacement and final pickup.
Ask for the charge period, applicable sales taxes, minimum rental, extension and notice terms, and every delivery or pickup charge. Commercial rental terms do not change the requirement to provide suitable site facilities from the start and throughout the work.
Choose the rules for the province or territory and the type of work; federally regulated workplaces have their own regime. Confirm facilities before work starts and maintain them throughout the project.
Determine toilet type, numbers, privacy and accessibility under the applicable worksite rules. Requirements can depend on workforce and activity.
Specify: State peak headcount, shifts, location, safe access, cleaning, servicing, waste removal and winter operation.
Provide the washing arrangements required for the site and tasks, including suitable water, soap and hygienic drying. Check local running-water and warm-water rules and any exceptions.
Specify: Identify water supply, heating, drainage and freeze protection. Assess showers or specialist decontamination for hazardous work.
Arrange potable water appropriate to the work and conditions. Protect drinking supplies from contamination.
Specify: Assign supply, storage, replenishment and cleaning. Plan for remote sites, summer heat and freezing conditions.
Assess changing, storage and drying for the workforce and hazards under the applicable occupational health and safety rules.
Specify: Allow for winter clothing, wet gear and contaminated protective equipment, with suitable privacy and separate clean storage.
Plan clean areas for meals and breaks with shelter and suitable temperature control. Confirm any specific local requirements.
Specify: State simultaneous users, furniture, safe heating, ventilation and cleaning. Keep food separate from contaminated work materials.

Confirm the sanitation requirements for the site’s province or territory and industry. Provide and maintain the facilities required for the workforce throughout the project; this checklist does not certify compliance.
The checklist will appear here after entering at least one person and a valid duration.

Your choices will be included in the quote. You will be able to specify the modules, connections and delivery. These guidelines do not replace validation of the site configuration.
A few details about your site will help prepare installation and avoid a quote that is missing items.
Gate width, bends, overhead obstacles and distance between the truck and the module location. Include photos.
Location, level and supports to be approved, passages between modules, doors and team access.
Available electricity, drinking water and drainage, distance to services and remaining work to plan. For off-grid use, specify filling and emptying.
Who assembles, connects, checks and cleans? Also ask for clarification on toilet cleaning and removal at the end of the project.
Ask the supplier for a dimensioned drawing of the proposed configuration, in PDF or DWG if your team uses that format. Check the footprint of the modules, doors, access routes, connections and handling areas. Have the layout approved for the ground conditions and site organisation.
Prepare the site layout planCompare both options with the same rooms and equipment, over the intended period of use.
Cost the rental rates, delivery and pickup, and included services. Ask about the minimum charge, extension terms and the notice period to arrange pickup.
Compare rental offersIf you reuse the modules, factor in transport, storage and maintenance. For used units, check weathertightness, insulation, internal condition and electrical and plumbing installations.
Compare purchase offersThere is no universal duration after which purchase becomes more advantageous. Do the calculation for one project, then for the reuses you actually plan.
Prepare the rental period, contract and pickupIdentify the employer, constructor or prime contractor duties in the legislation governing the site. Ontario assigns construction hygiene duties to the constructor; British Columbia also assigns its specified-site washroom duties to the prime contractor at a workplace with multiple employers. These are jurisdiction-specific roles, not a single Canadian chain of responsibility.
Prepare functioning toilets, washing, drinking water and suitable break facilities, with safe access and cold-weather protection.
Assign checks, cleaning records where required, supplies, tank servicing and fault response. Reassess changing occupancy and shifts.
Maintain suitable facilities and plan safe disconnection, transport and waste disposal.
A short duration, small workforce or mobile work does not provide a general exemption. Existing facilities can be used only when the arrangement is suitable, agreed and available whenever workers need it. Renting equipment does not transfer all occupational health and safety responsibilities to the rental company.
